imagesCAE5FITB.jpg Prepositions are used daily; we use them to tell the time (I’m going to the mall on Saturday),
place (The old man sat next to me) spatial (The stars are beyond far away). They link nouns, pronouns and
phrases to other words within a sentence. Students will learn most common prepositions and their respective
definitions. They will have the opportunity to visualize the use of prepositions by represented illustrations while
helping in the way of selecting the correct use of prepositions. This will help students know how to use them
appropriately within a sentence. They will learn how to use the appropriate prepositions in sentences according
to the classifications of the place, time and space.

Crossword puzzle: In here students will find a crossword with the different definitions of each of the prepositions and place the appropriate preposition in the space provided. Students will click on the numbers in the grid to see the clues, and then place the preposition inside the gap. In some of them they will have two different definitions one from the vertical line and the other that goes in the horizontal line. Remember if you decide to click on hint to get an answer you will lose some points. In this exercise you will have the option to go to the previous page in case you need to study or refresh your memory about the prepositions. Then you will click on check to see your final score. After that click on “Next Activity” to complete further exercises.

Match exercise: Students will look carefully and use the proper prepositions of time, place and space to match them to the appropriate illustrations presented. Students will use the drag and drop format to match the preposition word on the right, to the illustration from the left. After finishing the exercise students will click on check to know their final score.

In the next Activity students will also find Prepositions of time and place; they will select the prepositions on the right side of each illustration. Remember after finishing each exercise you can’t go back to the previous page.

Mixed Sentences: Students will find mixed sentences with the use of a preposition. Students will have to form the sentence by clicking and moving each of the words to complete the prepositional phrase. Then students will click on check to know their final score. After that, they will click on next activity to continue completing the exercises.

Fill in the blanks (paragraph): Students will have to fill in the gaps by using the appropriate prepositions. They will have to read carefully and place the proper preposition in each sentence. Students will have the option to click on a clue, represented as a question mark. They can also click on hint if they don’t understand the clue but they will lose some points. In this exercise they will have a limited time to complete the exercise, which means they should study and practice with the prior exercises to be able to complete successfully the paragraph within the time limits. Students will click on check to know their final score. They will have two paragraph exercises with the same purpose, after they finish and click on next activity they cannot go back to the prior exercise.

>>>>>>>>Quiz: The final page will be on a quiz based on what they have studied in the Power Point presentation and in the exercises they have practiced. Students will have to choose the best answer using the appropriate preposition within the sentence. They can click on “Show all questions” to see all the exercises at the same time or just click on the right arrow to go to the exercise (one by one). After finishing the exercises they can click on the check button to know their final score. Students will have a limited time complete the quiz.
